# Simplifying the Text on a Single Page

**The "Easy Language" plugin allows you to automatically simplify website text. But how can you simplify the text on just a single page?**

## Preliminary Notes

The plugin does not alter the original text on a page. The text is simplified on a parallel page created by the plugin. This page is linked to the original page and can be accessed, for example, by changing the language or via a direct link.

## Preparations

- Install the "Easy Language" plugin in your WordPress project.
- Find the page in your WordPress project whose text you want to simplify.

Procedure

1. Open the list of pages. Find the page you want to simplify.
2. Click the "+" in the "Easy Language" column and follow the prompts.
3. In the dialog box, you’ll also be asked if you want to simplify the page immediately. Agree to this and wait for the process to complete.
4. Once the simplification process is complete, the page with the simplified content will be created. You can view it immediately.

## FAQ

### I don’t see a "Simple Language" column?

In that case, you’ve probably either not installed the "Easy Language" plugin, haven’t configured it, or are using different language levels as the target for simplification. In the latter case, their designations appear as the language above a column (e.g., "B1" when using capito as the API).
