# How can I import data from my NextCloud into WordPress?

To do this, follow the [WebDAV instructions](https://plugins.thomaszwirner.de/externe-dateien-in-der-mediathek/dateien-per-webdav-einbinden/). Note, however, that you may need to configure the path to your NextCloud after the URL. Depending on which mode the plugin is running in for WebDAV connections, you’ll find the relevant setting in different locations.

## Determine the Mode

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Settings > External Files for the Media Library > Services > WebDAV.
2. Check which mode is selected here.

## When Using User-Specific Settings

1. Open your user profile. The quickest way to do this is usually by clicking in the top-right corner of the WordPress dashboard.
2. Look for the "WebDAV" entry. There, you can customize the path for yourself.

## When using global settings

1. In your WordPress backend, go to Settings > External Files for the Media Library > Services > WebDAV.
2. Here you can set the path that would apply to all users in your project.
